Celebrating our Partnership with Duke University School of Nursing!

Thank you, Duke University, for serving at Amani Medical Center!

Last month, ten nursing students from Duke University served at Amani Medical Center in Tanzania. The nursing students worked alongside our medical staff and were able to provide valuable training on innovative nursing techniques as well as hold health assessments for each residential child at City of Hope and offer recommendations to our staff.

The team also played a critical role in hosting our “mother and baby days,” where hundreds of moms and their babies come to Amani for support and medical guidance. On these days the babies are weighed and assessed to ensure they are developing in a healthy manner. The mothers are provided with medical guidance and education on parenting tips.

Duke’s service was a great blessing and encouragement to not only our medical staff but also the children at City of Hope who got to spend time with them!

We are so grateful for our ongoing partnership with Duke University’s School of Nursing and appreciate the expertise they provide. We are excited to see each team member continue to share our vision to see lives transformed and communities flourishing in Tanzania and Kenya. Thank you, Duke School of Nursing!

We are honored that we get to be family to those who need it most! We have a number of mission teams and interns serving at City of Hope this summer, and it has already been so encouraging to see how God uses each team to advance His mission.
