HOW HOPECO SPONSORS FEEL ABOUT SPONSORING A CHILD

“We would encourage any adult or teenager who is thinking of helping a child in a developing nation to do it!”

When Ted and Janet visited City of Hope in 2008 and 2009, they wanted to adopt a brother and sister, but Tanzania didn’t allow adoptions at that time – so Ted and Janet became HopeCo’s very first child sponsors! And they haven’t stopped sponsoring since! They love the feeling of helping protect the kids and enabling them to grow, learn, develop their God-given talents, and grow in their faith. “We would encourage any adult or teenager who is thinking of helping a child in a developing nation to do it! You would be helping them grow in Christ and allowing them to be able to lead a life of their own and be responsible for themselves.

We love to support the girls and feel blessed to be able to partner with HopeCo to change lives and bring God glory! Scott and I were able to visit the City of Hope campus and met Dr. Chacha & Regina in 2010. What an incredible place!

Sponsorship of a child is a window into that child’s life. Even if you are never able to physically visit the child, you can have an impact for eternity by praying, writing letters, and letting them into your life. Just a few years ago, we thought we might have a window of opportunity to visit Eliza and get to meet her in person, but that didn’t happen. Even though we wish we could meet her now, we know we will meet her one day before the throne of God and we rejoice in that knowledge.

We actually knew we would sponsor Peter as soon as we met him. He was just a wee guy when we took our lads over (to City of Hope) in January of 2017. He stole our hearts then and I couldn’t have been happier when I saw his face smiling at Calvary when Al and Hudson were there in 2023. I love how God works like that. Our guys were all so happy to be able to partner with you guys in providing for Peter.

You can choose one of the many children (just like those pictured below) who are waiting for a sponsor…
