"I have never felt more showered with love"
Thank you, Norton Presbyterian Church, for serving CHILDREN in Tanzania!
In July, a team from Norton Presbyterian Church, one of our wonderful church partners, served for a few days at City of Hope. The nine team members included two families from the church - it is always encouraging to see whole families share our vision to see lives transformed and communities flourishing in East Africa!
John Gill, a returning team member, reflected on the team’s time in Tanzania: “I visited City of Hope for the first time ten years ago, in the summer of 2013. I couldn’t help but notice the major upgrades to infrastructure, quality of staff, and access to water and electricity - both of which were hard to come by a decade ago. It is truly a tribute to the leaders who paved the trail in the initial stages and to those who have come alongside and risen through the ranks. God’s grace has truly been bountiful.
The only thing that has not changed is the sheer joy that one sees, feels, and experiences throughout each day at City of Hope. Each member of our team was moved by the welcome we received from the staff and students on our arrival - and it only got better from there!”
The team was such an encouragement as they served with our staff and children - reflected in the photographs below - and it was wonderful to see people experience City of Hope for the very first time. We look forward to our continued partnership with Norton Presbyterian Church and each of these team members!
