Our vision is to see transformed lives and flourishing communities in Tanzania, Kenya, and across East Africa. Driven by our faith in Jesus, we provide quality holistic care that creates lasting transformation, enabling children, families, and communities to flourish.
Our values inform every decision we take to meet our vision and mission:
-Faith: The call and example of Jesus Christ motivates us and guides all we do
-Empowerment: We speak out, encourage, and seek justice for the vulnerable
-Partnership: As an international team, we learn, collaborate, and grow together
-Leadership: We nurture capable local leaders so they can lead with excellence

HopeCo is a Christ-centered organization called to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel by providing quality care to vulnerable children, families, and communities in East Africa. HopeCo is not linked to a particular church or denomination.
We encourage you to read our Statement of Faith, where you will find the beliefs that are the foundation of our mission.

-Tanzania: City of Hope, our flagship program, is in Ntagacha, Tanzania, an extremely impoverished community close to the Kenyan border. City of Hope has been highly influential in giving hope and a future to vulnerable children and their families by providing holistic residential care, quality education, medical care, women’s empowerment, and leadership development.
-Kenya: The House of Faraja, our safe house in Kenya, provides rescue and healing to girls rescued from abuse, violence, and child marriage. Additionally, our Women’s Empowerment Program gives young women the knowledge and skills to provide for their families as they manage their own small businesses. Our Leadership Development Program invests in individuals through training and mentorship to become future leaders at HopeCo, in their communities, and beyond. In the destitute community of Mitaboni, where there are many “child-headed households” and abandoned children, we provide care and support, assistance with education and more while working to strengthen and stabilize struggling families to be self-sufficient.

A healthy partnership is based on a flourishing relationship where there is a high level of trust, transparency, integrity, and shared accountability. As a result of working together, there is transformation - in each partner as well as in the lives of those served. There are many ways to partner with HopeCo, and there is a place for you!
A few ways you can partner with us is by becoming:
-Church Partners: We collaborate closely with each church partner in ways that benefit the children, families, and communities we serve in East Africa and the mission program of the church.
-Hope Partners: Our Hope Partners contribute $100 or more a month towards their chosen program and receive quarterly updates, stories, pictures, and other important information about the children being cared for.
-Child Sponsors: For $39 a month, Child Sponsors provide a vulnerable child with love, quality education, medical care, safety, life's essentials, and eternal hope found in Jesus Christ. They receive letters and pictures from their child, progress reports, newsletters, and have the option to write to their sponsored child.
-Hope Ambassadors: Hope Ambassadors donate $20 a month to support girls at the House of Faraja who have been rescued from horrific abuse. They provide these girls with trauma-informed counseling, safety, food, medical care, and clothing.
