Celebrating our new bus at City of Hope!
Friday, June 9, was a very special day in the life of City of Hope. This was the day when the much-anticipated new school bus arrived in Ntagacha, having made the 756-mile journey from Dar Es Salaam!
The bus arrived at City of Hope in the middle of a storm, but the rain and thunder did not dampen the joy of our children and staff. They excitedly gathered at the campus gate to greet the bus on its arrival. The band played, and the kids sang and danced as the vehicle pulled through the gate - and the celebration was so loud it drowned out the thunder entirely!
The kids eagerly lined up to take a turn going inside the bus to test out how comfortable the seats were - our staff had a hard time getting them to come back out again! The crowd then gathered around the bus, hands outstretched, to thank the Lord for his abundant provision and to dedicate this bus to Him.
You can see the tangible joy and praise in this short video clip. The celebration was like no other - and we want you to celebrate with us!
Your support for this project will empower even more vulnerable children with the gift of a quality education.
There are still many kids in the local communities that do not go to school - many because of the distance.
This new bus will help provide access to education for these precious kids. Because of your generosity, kindness, and prayers, at-risk children can now reach their full God-given potential!
